Mapping the Bible


Well this is a very cool resource. Bible Geocoding offers lots of very interesting resources, including the use of Google Earth to offer a wealth of geographical information about every place mentioned in the Bible. You can look at the entire Bible as a whole or look at places identified in individual books. Check it out here.

This map shows which of eight major Christian denominations has a plurality in the United States, county by county. the map obviously does not capture the full story given the rich diversity of Christian denominations in the United States, but it does show much of the regionalization of the major denominations.
